An increasing number of aging professional Irishmen are opting for botox so they look younger for job interviews, according to experts.
Managing director of cosmetic surgery firm The Hospital Group, Aisling Holly, told the Irish Examiner they have seen a massive increase in the number of older men visiting their clinics looking for botox.
Male solicitors and accountants, among others, are telling them that they are finding it increasingly difficult to go head-to-head with younger people for jobs.
Holly said that Irish are also looking for more weight-loss solutions, such as gastric bands. Clinics in Ireland are now fitting 25 band per month with procedures starting from $11,300 (€7,995).
Face-lifts, tummy tucks, breast lifts and injectable fillers are also becoming more popular. Holly admits that the age profile of her customer is older and are generally in their mid-30s.
