Donald Trump has canceled the Irish-leg of his Scottish and Irish tour, which was to include a visit to his golf and hotel property in Doonbeg, County Clare, IrishCentral has learned exclusively.
Stephanie Grisham, Press Tour Director for the Trump campaign, confirmed that the trip would be to Scotland only but did not discuss a reason for the change.
Earlier the press charter information was released by the campaign, which failed to show any Irish leg to the trip.

The travel schedule for Trump and the press was presented as follows:
- Depart New York Thursday, June 23 for Prestwick, Scotland
- June 24: In Scotland
- Saturday, June 25: Depart Prestwick for Aberdeen
- Same day: Depart Aberdeen for New York
Misty House, a spokeswoman for the air charter company told IrishCentral that there were no Irish plans she was aware of.
“I have no information on an Irish leg at this time,” she stated and referred all queries to Grisham, a long-time Republican media operative.
Grisham replied “Just Scotland” when asked if Ireland was still on the itinerary but would not discuss the matter further.

Major demonstrations were planned against Trump by protest groups from left-wing organizations who were confident of large numbers showing up. It was not clear if the demonstration threats had anything to do with the cancelation.
There was also the awkward situation where Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Enda Kenny had made several highly critical comments about Trump as had other members of the government. It is not known if that had any impact.
