Ireland's meteorological office is predicting snow, sleet and low temperatures this week.
Temperatures reached as low as 20 degrees fahrenheit on Sunday night. However, temperatures are not expected to drop any further than 23 degrees fahrenheit this week.
Motorists have been warned to be vigilant and drive safely, as widespread frost and ice is expected throughout the country.
Irish weather forecaster Deirdre Lowe says that the weather will not be as extreme as last month’s ice over. However, Lowe does not expect Spring weather until March.
A severe weather front is expected to touch down on Ireland in the coming days. The front is currently passing over Britain and it is expected to bring severe rain, sleet and snow fall.
"The forecast for Thursday and Friday still looks cold and unsettled," said Lowe.
