In spite of the turbulent economic times that Ireland is facing, the Sunday Times Rich List recently unveiled the vast wealth and finances of the lucky few not as affected by the global recession. Although familiar names like businessman JP McManus and lottery winner Dolores McNamara were listed, two young Limerick men were named in the Ireland's young rich list for the first time.
According to the Limerick Leader, brothers Patrick and John Collinson have amassed a shared fortune of at least €8 million. At the tender ages of 22 and 20 respectively, the Collinson brothers first made headlines over three years ago when they sold their software company Auctmatic to larger Canadian corporation.

Just last year the brothers ventured again into the tech world with the creation of Stripe, a company that processes online payments and is projected to threaten PayPal's dominance on the web. Proving they are not one-hit-wonders, the Collinsons are serious about perfecting their craft. Patrick was formerly a Young Scientist of the Year, a prestigious award in Ireland in the fields of science and technology.
Although the brothers did not make the actual Rich List, there are not that many twenty-somethings out there making the waves that they are and they will undoubtedly find themselves climbing up the ranks in the near future.
