The Los Angeles coroner has revealed that Simon Monjack, Brittany’s Murphy’s husband died of pneumonia.

Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter said that the 40-year-old’s heart was slightly enlarged and he also had some prescription drugs in his system when he died but the overruling cause of death was pneumonia.

The coroner recently ruled out spores or mould in the house as a cause of death and discovered that a combination of pneumonia, anemia and prescription drugs.

He also said that both of their deaths were preventable.
