Lindsay Lohan

The 27-year-old actress, who completed 90-days of court-ordered treatment in rehab at the end of July, recently began seeing the ex-Philadelphia Eagles player, whom she has known for seven years, and he has already formed a bond with her whole family.

A source told People.com: "She is very happy and very committed to staying sober. He drinks but not irresponsibly and not in front of her. He is close to her whole family."

The 30-year-old Texas-native, who starred on the 2011 Bravo reality TV series 'Most Eligible Dallas,' also recently told the New York Post's Page Six that he is trying to support Lindsay.

He said:"We've hung out. But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now."

He added: "She's completely sober now. She's in a great place and working hard and meeting with all the right people."

'The Canyons' star's last serious relationship was with DJ Samantha Ronson, which ended in 2009 after a tumultuous year.

Samantha's mother Ann Dexter-Jones later admitted she "interfered" with the couple and told her 35-year-old daughter she couldn't support their relationship as she became "anxious about Samantha's safety and wellbeing" because of Lindsay's alleged "classic psychotic behaviour".
