“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens has spoke again about the naked photos of her which emerged on the Internet over the last four years.
Speaking about her latest role in Zack Snyder’s fantasy femme fatale film “Sucker Punch”, the actress told the LA Times that the explicit photos are all in the past.
"It's just silly because I'm a very present person, and that's the thing that has been so in the past," she said.
"The fact that somebody keeps bringing up the past is just selfish. I mean, it sucks. I already released a statement the first time it happened. It's just unfortunate that it keeps reminding people about the past and not the present."
When the first photos were released in 2007, Hudgens expressed regret to her fans in a statement.
"I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me," she said in her statement. "I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends."
She later told the Huffington Post in 2008 that she couldn’t have got through the “traumatic” experience without her family and friends.
“I'm much better now. But truthfully I don't like talking about it. It was something that was meant to be private, and even though it isn't anymore, I'd still like to keep it as private as I can. It was very traumatic, and I am extremely upset it happened. I hope all my fans can learn from my mistake and make smart decisions. But I wouldn't have been able to get through it if it wasn't for my family, friends, and fans, who supported me all along the way.”
