Watch out Susan Boyle! British hitmaker Simon Cowell looks set to to sing "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson.

Cowell has already approached Pattinson to sign up after hearing him sing.

However, close friends say Pattinson is reluctant to get involved with Cowell.

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star – and takes his music very seriously. He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell, who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.”

Pattinson has already written and performed for private affairs.

"I write songs, that’s true," he says.

"I’ll record a few tracks as soon as I finish the promotion for the movies, but before I won’t to do anything. I don’t want to release an album which has a sticker on it saying, ‘By the vampire of Twilight,’ on it.

"If the record is released one day there won’t be my name or my picture on the cover. Everyone would be biased. No one would listen to it. Before I was famous I would have loved to perform in bars and pubs. But this isn’t possible anymore.”
