He's gone and done it now!. According to Rasmussen Reports, two recent polls now show Bill Clinton is more popular than at any time since he left the presidency, with 58 percent approving of him.
In an earlier poll last week by the same group, Hillary had a 53 percent approval rating - not bad, but she's now back in a familiar position.
The dynamic duo of American politics have spawned more headlines over their political lifetime than any couple in history - and it shows no sign of stopping.
When Hillary struck back at a poorly-worded question last week in Africa about her husband's position on a policy matter, it made world headlines.
Bill had just gotten off the world stage after his dramatic intervention to free two journalists captured and imprisoned in North Korea.
The big dog loved the world media coverage no doubt - and especially the fact that he bailed Al Gore out of trouble, as both of the journalists concerned were employed by one of Gore's media companies.
Love 'em or hate 'em however, you have to admit that the Clintons are the most remarkable political couple of all time.
They are also incredibly smart, talented, and as times go by, people understand more and more just what a fantastic first couple they made.
As for the envy issue. I think Hillary is bigger than that at this stage of her political career.
When you spend time in their company you understand right away that it is a relationship of equals, both are equally ambitious and dedicated to their goals.
Their marriage has lasted 34 years, which means they must have something in common. Ambition is not the worst trait to share.
