After their sold out March 2013 tour of the U.S. and after touring for 25 years, the ever popular Irish rock band the Saw Doctors decided to take a year-long sabbatical.
However, knowing that rust never sleeps, two band members and friends, Leo Moran and Anthony Thistlethwaite, have decided to team up and put together an acoustic show to take on the road.
They hit the US on September 20 with approximately 22 gigs and may add some more as they go. The show will include different takes on well-known Saw Doctors' songs.
“We’ll be playing songs acoustically in our own style -- well-known, lesser-known and unknown ones, and telling stories and sharing whatever else comes to mind as we make our way from show to show in our Dodge Avenger rental car,” says Moran.
“It's all new and fresh and challenging and scary and exciting!”
I will have a full interview with Moran next week, but for now start booking these shows into your calendar. For a full listing visit www.leoandanto.com.
