Have you ever taken a photograph of scenic Ireland or the New York skyline that you really liked? Now is the time to share your stockpile of images.
The newly expanded Aisling Irish Center is inviting photographers to submit images they have taken of Irish and New York landscapes.
The winner’s photographs will be featured in an Christmas exhibition in the newly expanded Aisling Center. IrishCentral are also happy to announce that we will proudly showcase some of the best entries.
“We are inviting amateur and avid photographers to submit their photographs for consideration,” said Órla Kelleher, Executive Director of the Aisling Irish Community Center in Yonkers.
“This exhibition will not only showcase amazing photographs taken by amateur photographers, but it also signifies the great relationship between people in the local and wider Irish community here in New York and Aisling Irish Community Center.”
Kelleher added: “After all, everybody can take a beautiful photograph!"
Over the coming weeks, IrishCentral’s readers will be able to vote on some of their favorite photos on our Facebook page.
All photographs chosen for display will be developed in color or black and white and will be the same size.
The closing date for receipt of entries is Friday November 15. Photographs chosen for the exhibition will be decided on by a selection committee. Please submit your digital photograph to [email protected]. No hard copy prints please!
This photographic exhibition will be open to the public by Friday, December 20, 2013.
