Rumors were swirling all over the Internet last week claiming Colin Farrell was going to be a dad again, this time with his current girlfriend Muireann McDonnell, a 22-year-old med student from Dublin.

Apparently the buzz was whipped up courtesy of the photo with this piece of Colin gently patting the tummy of his beloved . . . as many an expectant daddy has done in the past. But his publicist Danica Smith firmly denied reports that Muireann was three months along on Monday.

"She is not pregnant," the flak told Us magazine.

Colin's three-year-old tot James lives in LA with his ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave. Colin and Muireann have been a seemingly happy couple for several months now.

Don't know what to make of this report that's also been circulating in cyberspace, but if it's true Colin's starting to develop a head for business with one of the richest musicians out there, fellow Irishman Larry Mullen, drummer for U2.

The guys have reportedly anted up in the region of $6 million to purchase a block of apartments in Bolton, a town in the north west of England of all places.

They were lured to the project by the promise of a huge British government investment of $1 billion to spruce up the town. The 26 apartments in the complex will be rented out, so it's a safe bet that they'll be nice once they're done over, as neither Colin or Larry would fancy the word "slumlord" attached to their fine names.

Interesting timing for Colin's next major starring role, aside from his ensemble part in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream which debuts in Europe this month.

Pride and Glory, co-starring Ed Norton, was filmed last year in and around New York City, will open on Friday, March 14 2008, just in time for St. Patrick's Day. It's about a family of Irish American cops, one of whom is embroiled in scandal.
