We were joined by Mike Mulligan, a family historian, DNA expert, and Principal Product Manager at Ancestry, who talked us through taking the Ancestry DNA test, what we can expect from the results and what surprises we might find.

Mulligan an experienced genealogist, in his role at Ancestry, advises on how to use DNA and genetics to find out people’s family history. A mine of information he spoke with Kate Hickey, Managing Editor of IrishCentral, who will now take her Ancestry’s DNA test.
