Chances are you have a Jack or an Emily in your life, as the Central Statistics Office‘s figures show the respective boy’s and girl’s names have been a dominant choice for parents who’ve welcomed children in the past three decades.

The 2020s have seen a fluctuation in what girl’s names are being chosen for little ones, but by in large, boy mums seem to be stuck in their ways with ‘Jack’. You can’t be a good, solid name, eh?
