Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs exchanged sharp words at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Sunday. Brady told the press on Monday that Suggs had warned him he "just better hope he doesn't see us again," following the Patriots' hardscrabble 23-20 win on Sunday.
But Brady was unimpressed. "He had his chance. Maybe if he gets another chance he can try to back up those words up. But he had a chance yesterday," Brady said. "You know, we've played those guys a lot, and they've beat us one time in all the times that I've played them. They talk a lot for beating us once in nine years."
After Sunday's game, Suggs attempted to play down the Patriots' win and said that other than a couple of plays the team didn't offer much against the Baltimore defense.
Brady, who had his head to head with Suggs in the fourth quarter following a completion, admitted that he had been "pretty pissed off all day" at penalties and also at the flow of the game. But no one can deny that having Brady at quarterback makes the Patriots a continuing threat.
