Celtic striker Gary Hooper has pledged his future to the club despite another lucrative offer to join Championship leaders Southampton in England.

Hooper’s former Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has made another attempt to lure Celtic’s top scorer back to English football.

Celts boss Neil Lennon says he will only sell Hooper for silly money and the player himself is adamant he wants to stay in Glasgow.

Hooper told Celtic’s official website: “I’m very happy. I’m back playing now and scored at the weekend. It was good to be back in the team.

“I don’t want to go anywhere. I’m a Celtic player and very happy here, winning games for Celtic and we’re two points clear at the top of the league just now.

“I’m just focusing on football - training, playing and scoring goals - that’s my job.”
