Showing true dedication to his club Crossmolina, Conor Loftus was determined to play his part despite suffering the tragic loss of his fiancée, Róisín Cryan, just two weeks ago.
As the end drew near, the opposing team was a point ahead when referee Seán Lonergan awarded Conor's team a penalty. What happened next would make the match extra special.

Following their win, the team's captain Mike Loftus dedicated the win to Róisín Cryan stating how the win was "bittersweet" due to her death. He told the crowd how they knew that she was "looking down on us today."
