The drama of the club season is nearly at an end as we close in on the latter stages of the All-Ireland club championships across both codes.
With a new-look Gaelic football passed by congress over the weekend, 2025 is set to be a big year for football and hurling.

Starting in January, the opening round of the Allianz Leagues will get underway on the weekend of January 25/26.
The marquee fixture of that first weekend is the Saturday replay of the 2024 All-Ireland football final between champions Armagh and Galway.
Elsewhere in football’s Division 1, Saturday also sees Tyrone face Derry and Dublin play Mayo while Kerry entertain Donegal on the Sunday.
That same weekend will see All-Ireland champions Clare start their 2025 against Kilkenny on the Sunday, while Galway are also set to meet Tipperary.
The Allianz Football League Finals will take place on March 29/30 with Division Two, Three, and Four Hurling Finals also scheduled for that weekend.
The Allianz Hurling League Division 1A and 1B Finals will be on April 5/6.
The provincial football championships begin on the weekend of April 5/6, with the All-Ireland Football Final slated for Sunday, July 27.
The Tailteann Cup Final will take place on Saturday, July 12.
The provincial hurling championships begin on April 19/20, with the All-Ireland Hurling Final on Sunday, July 20.
The Joe McDonagh Cup begins on Saturday, April 20, with the Final on Saturday, June 8. The Ring Rackard and Meagher Cup Finals are on the weekend of May 31/June 1.
