Ireland will take on France on their home turf in Dublin's sold-out Aviva Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, March 8 for the Guinness Men’s Six Nations rugby championship.

There will be a lot riding on this game, Six Nations said in its match preview - an Irish victory could seal a historic Championship three-peat, with the Grand Slam coming down to the final weekend.

This could also be the last time three Irish greats - Peter O’Mahony, Cian Healy, and Conor Murray - take to the field in Dublin.

Ireland could also claim the 2025 Guinness Men’s Six Nations title early if England fail to beat Italy.

A French win would boost their already reignited title chances, and see the title go down to ‘Super Saturday.'

Historically, France has held the upper hand in this fixture. Over 103 meetings, France has secured 59 victories to Ireland's 37, with seven matches ending in a draw.

In recent years, this blockbuster fixture has always been tightly contested with France edging Ireland three wins to two in their last five encounters.

However, France has not beaten Ireland since 2022.

Ireland have won their last two Guinness Men’s Six Nations matches against France, including their most recent by a margin of 21 points - their largest victory against Les Bleus in over 100 years (24-0 in the 1913 Five Nations). Ireland have won three consecutive games against France just once previously in the Six Nations era (2017-2019).
