Notre Dame leads Michigan 20-17 at half time in their critical clash at Ann Arbor – but for the Irish it is a case of what might have been.
Clearly the superior team, they had a touchdown called back after a video review, and conceded a touchdown from a kick off.
Quarterback Jimmy Clausen has been the dominant figure for the Irish, getting plenty of time to throw behind a very effective offensive line and throwing for two touchdowns to his wideouts.
However, coach Charlie Weis will hardly be happy with the three point lead as Notre Dame dominated the game for long periods and clearly have a strong physical advantage.
