Manchester City
-Potential Transfers in;
Roberto Mancini will not be given a vast amount of money to completely rebuild the squad like City have done the past few occasions that they have been able to buy players. However it does not follow suit that City will still not splash out on one or two marquee signings to help their title push.

Wolfsburg Striker Edin Dzeko looks set to join the club for £27 million. Porto's Brazilian star Hulk has also been linked to the club as of late while an audacious bid for Barcelona's enigmatic right back Dani Alves has been suggested by many sections of the media.

-Potential Transfers out;
Shay Given has repeatedly underlined his determination to leave the City of Manchester Stadium but City will be reluctant to sell him to a competitor.

Emmanuel Adebayor has caught the eye of Harry Redknapp at Spurs while fellow big man Roque Santa Cruz is attracting interest from numerous clubs.

Carlos Tevez recent drama with the club may have died down but it would come as a surprise to nobody if he were to leave City during the transfer window.

Manchester United
-Potential Transfers in;
Alex Ferguson has kept the purse strings tight in recent years whether by choice or force and I don't expect this to change during this transfer window. The United squad needs some additions but Ferguson understands that buying in January is not always the best way to get value for money which is vital to his philosophy.

Fergie has already claimed that United will not splash the cash in January which has quashed many of the potential targets but his need for a younger goalkeeper for the future is always lingering. David De Gea of Athletic Madrid is reportedly being closely monitored by the club. Lassana Diarra and Jordan Henderson also look to be possible signings but don't expect Ferguson to splash out on Wesley Sneijder or Gareth Bale before February.

-Potential Transfers out;
Real Madrid are determined to pries Patrice Evra from Old Trafford.

Michael Owen is likely to move on from Old Trafford as Aston Villa are hoping to sign him.

Villa have also looked at Michael Carrick but it would be a surprise if he were to leave as United's depth in midfield is not substantial.

Newcastle United
-Potential Transfers in;
Alan Pardew is certain to look to put his own stamp on the current Newcastle squad which is likely to be a mistake. Pardew is simply not a great manager and the transfer market has never been one of his strengths. The Newcastle squad has a good mix of players and does not need to be uprooted but I fear Pardew and Ashley may do so out of compulsion.

Hatem Ben Arfa has already begun discussions to sign with the club permanently. Robbie Keane is a potential partner for Andy Carroll. Niko Kranjcar and David Jones could arrive to bolster the midfield while the big news for Newcastle fans is that former favorite Shay Given is available once again.

-Potential Transfers out;
Andy Carroll is attracting interest from all over the country because of his brilliant start to this season.

Steven Taylor has been linked with Celtic while Aston Villa are eyeing up Joey Barton.

Stoke City
-Potential Transfers in;
Stoke are an established Premiership outfit and their signings during this window should signal their intent to become a top ten team in the league. The team has enough depth and does not need to splash out on various players allowing them to concentrate their money on key additions. Keeping key players at the club could be the best thing for this club during the window.

Ross Turnbull and Michael Mancienne are possibilities in a double deal from Chelsea. Charles N'Zogbia would be a huge addition to Stoke if they managed to sign him from Wigan. Stoke would be a perfect slot to end Stephen Ireland's misery in Birmingham. Sebastien Larsson and Robbie Keane are players who certainly outline Stoke's elevated standing.

-Potential Transfers out;
Both Ryan Shawcross and Robert Huth have been linked with high profile moves.

Asmir Begovic is wanted by Chelsea as a backup to Petr Cech.

Fan favorite Sanli Tuncay may be on his way out of the club if he continues to find himself on the fringes of the squad.

Sunderland
-Potential Transfers in;
The most important thing for Steve Bruce is keeping his squad in tact through this transfer window. He needs to keep hold of Danny Welbeck and Nedum Onuoha if Sunderland are to continue their fantastic first half of the season.

Sunderland aren't likely to sign any players however they have been linked with a slightly out of favor Adam Johnson and David Bentley.

-Potential Transfers out;
Jordan Henderson is one of the brightest young stars in the Premierleague and as such is attracting huge interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Real Madrid are thought to be tracking Asamoah Gyan.

Tottenham Hotspur
-Potential Transfers in;
Harry Redknapp is one of the best wheeling and dealing managers in the league and potentially the world. It is rare that Redknapp does not get the better deal in a transfer and he has added to the Tottenham squad he inherited and improved it vastly with astute signings.

Redknapp was recently quoted confirming their interest in signing David Beckham on loan. The arrival of Steven Pienaar from Everton would be the exact type of astute signing that Redknapp routinely makes. Don't expect the much talked about Ashley Young to Tottenham deal to happen as Redknapp has previously quashed his interest in him pointing to the form of Gareth Bale and the cover provided by Niko Kranjcar. Glen Johnson may be swayed by the greener looking pastures of North London opposed to Merseyside these days should Tottenham make a bid while Emmanuel Adebayor and Scott Parker always remain possibilities.

-Potential Transfers out;
Robbie Keane is very unlikely to still be at the club before the end of the window.

Niko Kranjcar and David Bentley need to leave to get some playing time.

West Bromwich Albion
-Potential Transfers in;
West Brom have surprised many people with their performances this season and have given themselves a great chance at finally staving off relegation and attaining that second season in the Premiership.

A striker is certainly on the cards as John Carew, Giorgios Samaras and Mateja Kezman have all been heavily linked with the club in recent weeks. Irish international center half Sean St. Ledger is expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

-Potential Transfers out;
Ipswich are chasing Joe Mattock.

Simon Cox looks likely to join Reading.

West Ham United
-Potential Transfers in;
West Ham's fortunes have taken a turn for the better recently and the transfer window may be coming at the perfect time to add some new weapons to get out of the relegation zone by May.

Steve Sidwell has already arrived. Robbie Keane and Adam Hammill are two players that will excite Hammers fans should the club snap them up. Wayne Bridge's descent down the pecking order in Manchester City has sparked interest in Upton Park.

-Potential Transfers out;
Carlton Cole is permanently being linked with a move away from Upton Park.

Worryingly for the club both Scott Parker, Julien Faubert and Matt Upson are all attracting interest from other clubs.

Wigan Athletic
-Potential Transfers in;
Wigan's recent transfer policy has been to sign younger players such as James McArthur, Franco Di Santo and James McCarthy but don't expect Roberto Martinez to stick to that during this transfer window.

The lack of funds in Wigan will tie Martinez's hands but a bid for Adam Hammill or an attempt to loan Jay Emmanuel Thomas from Arsenal may not be out of reach.

-Potential Transfers out;
Keeping Charles N'Zogbia is the most important goal for Wigan for the next four weeks.

Wolverhampton Wanderers
-Potential Transfers in;
Mick McCarthy hasn't been quiet about his ambition to better his squad. He should have some money to spend in January without having to break the bank.

Trying to bring about the return of Robbie Keane is always going to go down well with Wolves fans. While McCarthy is also trying to capture Curtis Davies from Aston Villa. Manchester City's Michael Johnson or Middlesborough's Gary O'Neil could be interesting additions to the relegation battlers.

-Potential Transfers out;
David Jones is in demand as a host of clubs are seeking to sign him.

Matt Jarvis is also attracting interest from Everton and Liverpool.
