John Henry, Liverpool Football Club and Boston Red Sox owner, is attempting to woe back Liverpool fans by offering free tickets for kids.

This is Henry’s attempt to mend the club’s relationship with its fans after his U.S. company bought the team from the unpopular duo Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr. in October.

Henry’s new plan means that fans under the age of 17 will get a free ticket if they’re accompanied by an adult, who ticket will cost $32. The next match is the final Europa League group stage match against Utrecht next Wednesday.

Chairman Thomas Werner said this is a "small gesture of our appreciation of the welcome we have been afforded so far."
