There were disgraceful scenes at Croke Park after the referee allowed a last second illegal Meath goal which allowed them to defeat Louth 1-13 to 1-11 in the Leinster football final
Referee Martin Sludden, pictured above, was repeatedly attacked by Louth supporters as he tried to make his way from the field.
Louth were bidding to win their first Leinster title since 1957 and were in the lead right up to the last minute.
Then a free from Meath landed in the Louth goalmouth and a scramble ended when Meath forward Joe Sheridan threw the ball across the line .
