Giovanni Trappatoni has called Anthony Stokes into the Irish Squad in the wake of Damien Duff's withdrawal due to injury.

The 20-year-old Stokes, a Sunderland player on loan to Crystal Palace, is expected to train with the rest of the Irish Squad today.

Stokes spent the early part of the season on loan to Sheffield United, and joined Palace on March 2 until the end of the season.
