Waterford are the Munster Hurling champions after defeating Cork with a late goal by super sub Dan Shanahan.
The replay at Thurles went into extra time with Shanahan's goal giving Waterford a 1-17 to 1-14 margin of victory.
In other hurling results Dublin lost to Antrim in the All Ireland qualifiers, a major shock, by one point.
Dublinn footballers fared better beating Armagh in a qualifier by three points thanks to a sterling displayy by star forward Bernard Brogan while Down defeated Offaly by two points to also advance.
