The famously private actor – who married 46-year-old actress Calista Flockhart last June after eight years together – escapes from the pressures of fame by going on boating holidays in Europe with the former ‘Ally McBeal’ star and her nine-year-old son Liam.
He said: "I've often taken them to France and England and it's something I like to do. There's nothing quite like it to slow your life down and it was just the three of us, Calista and I and Liam and it was really fun. A real pleasure."
In 2004 the 68-year-old actor - who has four other children from two previous marriages – surprised locals in a remote area of Wales when he, Calista and Liam enjoyed a quiet family holiday on a canal boat in Llangollen during the town’s International Eisteddfod.
The family have also been spotted in England on the Shropshire Union canal.
Though he plays a news anchor in new movie ‘Morning Glory’, Harrison is not interested in appearing on similar shows and having to speak about his personal life, admitting his public appearances are only related to “selling a product” rather than “truth”.
Asked if he would appear on Piers Morgan’s forthcoming US TV talk show, he told BANG Showbiz: "He's promoting his show largely by professing to be looking for the truth from his subjects so I shall have nothing to do with him.
"I'm not interested in the truth, I'm interested in selling a product. You want the truth go somewhere else. Not my business."
