Ireland's hotels and spa in 2024 Forbes Travel Guide

Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) has released its list of 2024 Star Award Winners, and a total of 11 properties in Ireland have been recognized.

Ten Irish hotels made FTG's 2024 award list - Adare Manor and Ashford Castle received five stars, Conrad Dublin and The Merrion received four stars, and six other Irish hotels received the 'recommended' distinction.

Meanwhile, the Spa at Ashford Castle also made the list, landing an impressive five stars.

The Forbes Travel Guide (FTG), the only independent, global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and ocean cruises, revealed its Star Award Winners for 2024 on February 7. This year's list spans more than 2,000 properties worldwide.

According to the guide, the awards "reflect these trending tastes among travelers.

"For the 66th annual list of the best hotels, restaurants, spas and ocean cruises, FTG explored destinations offering meaningful experiences as well as smaller U.S. cities that are often overlooked."

According to the FTG, the ratings are compiled using "an objective, independent and data-driven process." Undercover inspectors posing as everyday guests test against "some 900 exacting standards" at the properties, emphasizing exceptional service, guest experience, and quality and condition of the facilities, as well as value in the experience.

"Travel was highly anticipated to have a strong year and the new winners on our 2024 list reflect the increased efforts properties are making to deliver elevated guest experiences," said Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide.
