Many people travel all over the globe to visit places that will supposedly bring them good luck - and Ireland is home to many spots to explore where the odds will be in your favor. 

From County Clare’s Holy Island and the walled city of Glendalough to Newgrange, the best places that will bring you good luck in Ireland have been revealed in new research carried out by Betway

The popularity of each location was measured by a unique index score - based on the number of hashtags and views each place of interest has racked up on Instagram, as well as Tripadvisor and Google rating rankings - with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking. 

The top location to visit has been revealed as Connemara in County Galway. Connemara is known for its rugged countryside and the famous Connemara marble stone, which is said to bring you tranquillity and protection from evil. The walled city of Glendalough in County Wicklow followed behind in second place, where you will find the Century Stone - and touching it will bring you luck. 

Securing third place was Blarney Castle, located in Cork. The popular spot is home to the Blarney Stone within the castle. It is widely believed that kissing the stone will give you the gift of eloquence. Inis Cealtra, also known as Holy Island and one of the oldest monastic sites in Ireland, is also recommended as a spot to discover. 

Kylemore Abbey proved to be another must-see site as it is home to the Ironing Stone - which you can visit to make a wish to find love. Following behind was Newgrange, located in County Meath, where many travel all over to experience the rising sun illuminating the chamber and passage during the winter solstice. 

Other popular spots included Knowth and the Drombeg Stone Circle - which is said to be a place of ‘power and transformation’. Many flock to this spot to practice meditation and energy healing.
