From The Beckhams’ wedding night destination to Harry Styles’ favorite place for a swim, these are the top spots on the Emerald Isle loved by celebs.

The likes of Taylor Swift, Matt Damon, Katy Perry and even Beyoncé are all known to have their favorite places to visit when spending quality time in Ireland. Whether it's the location for a new film or an escape from the hustle and bustle, Betfair Casino has taken a deep dive into celebrities' go-to destinations in Ireland. The popularity of each location was measured by a unique index score - based on the number of hashtags and views each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as TripAdvisor rankings - with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking. 

Ashford Castle, located in County Mayo, was named the winning location to visit as the medieval and Victorian castle was 007 star Pierce Brosnan’s wedding reception location, after marrying Keely Shaye at Ballintubber Abbey.

In joint first position was the picturesque village of Kilcar, in County Donegal - where Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have known to holiday together.

Galway City followed in second place, which is said to be loved by Ed Sheeran, while Dublin’s stunning Phoenix Park took the third spot after Beyoncé and Jay-Z were spotted strolling through the park in 2014. 

Following behind in fourth was the Dalkey Islands in County Dublin - loved by A-listers Matt Damon and Lindsay Lohan. Both stars have previously filmed on the island, with Lindsay starring in "Irish Wish" and Matt shooting "The Last Duel."

Known for being one of Victoria and David Beckham’s wedding locations, Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin placed joint fifth alongside Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s honeymoon destination, Ballyfin Demesne in County Laois.

Following behind in sixth place was Dublin’s Vico Baths, as Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde were seen going for a brisk dip together ahead of one of his concerts in the capital. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift’s favourite Irish spot, Portsalon Beach - also known as Magherawarden - wasn’t far behind. The location has since been one of Donegal’s hotspots to visit after the singer posted a picture that many locals instantly recognized. 

Limerick’s Glin Castle, which Taylor rented out one Christmas for her and Joe Alywn, also made the top 12. Sole Seafood & Grill restaurant in Dublin, previously visited by Harry Styles, secured tenth place.
