There is nothing more satisfying than uncovering a new cozy spot for your morning croissant or even a freshly baked loaf of soda bread - and the many bakeries all over Ireland have a lot to offer.
With this in mind, Betway has provided a list of the top-ranked 12 bakeries in Ireland. The popularity of each bakery was measured by a unique index score - based on the number of hashtags and views each place has racked up on Instagram, as well as Trip Advisor rankings - with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking.
Award-winning artisan bakery, Firehouse Bakery located in the Wicklow village of Delgany is deserving of its winning spot. As well as freshly baked pastries, the deli offers brewed cups of coffee and a wood-fired oven at the heart of everything they make. The Corner Bakery, located in Terenure, also made its mark as one of the most popular - as the bakery is well-loved by locals for its freshly hand-made cakes, loaves of bread and melt-in-the-mouth cookies.
In third place was Dublin’s Bread Naturally and Bread 41. Whether you’re a lover of a freshly baked loaf of granary or wholegrain sourdough is your first choice, Bread 41 and Bread Naturally both have plenty for every acquired taste - plus plenty of croissant options to die for!
Arán Kilkenny in Kilkenny secured fourth place, as the much-loved spot proved to be very popular - with their bakers known to use the best local produce for their sweet and savoury baked goods of heaven.
The oh-so-charming Ali's Bakery in Cork wasn’t far behind, with the bakery offering freshly baked bread and pastries as well as unique and creative cakes for every occasion.
Meanwhile, Blistered Bread, in Donegal, is an artisan bakery in Letterkenny that earns every ounce of its praise. Offering freshly baked goods for a very good price - there’s a reason why locals are often queueing in the early hours for their morning pastries.
In County Wexford, Yola Bakery should be next on your list to check out, with locals saying their weekends aren’t complete without making a trip to Yola’s.
