Castle Brands has five good reasons to love the Irish: Boru Vodka, Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey, Clontarf 1014 Irish Whiskey, Celtic Honey Liqueur and Brady's Irish Cream. In the lead-up to St. Patrick’s Day, the portfolio is launching its Irish to the Core contest, celebrating these five Irish spirits by asking fans why they love the Irish for a chance to win a trip to Ireland.

To enter the contest, fans should visit the Irish to the Core application on the contest’s Facebook page or the contest’s website  where they’ll be able to upload photos and submit explanations for why they love the Irish.

Participants can enter once per day from now until March 7. A panel of judges will pick 25 finalists, and from March 17 – 31, fans will be able to visit the Irish to the Core Facebook page to vote for their favorites. A Grand Prize winner, announced April 8, will receive a trip to Ireland for two, including flights courtesy of Aer Lingus, hotel rooms and $500 to cover expenses. Runners up will receive the “Flavors of Ireland” cookbook by Margaret M. Johnson, which includes many recipes that utilize the Castle Brands Irish portfolio. Voters in the second round will be eligible to win such items as a Clontarf 1014 flask, a Knappogue Castle wrist watch, a Boru Vodka ice bucket or a Boru Vodka wall clock.

To celebrate the contest, Castle Brands and Liquor.com will team up and throw a party at the Dead Rabbit, a new Irish cocktail bar located at 30 Water Street in New York City’s Financial District, on Sunday, February 10 from 2 - 4:30 p.m. Attendees will sample a selection of spirits from the Emerald Isle, including Boru® Vodka, Knappogue Castle Whiskey®, Clontarf 1014® Irish Whiskey, Celtic Honey® Liqueur and Brady's® Irish Cream, while learning to make cocktails from bartender Sean Muldoon.
