The Fish Box has become a destination spot for visitors to Dingle, Co Kerry looking to experience fresh seafood.
The family-run Irish business opened their doors in 2018 and serves seafood that comes straight from their trawler, Cú Na Mara (translated from the Irish language means "Hound of the Sea").
Their boat, which has been in their family since 2007, can spend anywhere from five to fifteen days at sea on the Wild Atlantic Way and mainly targets prawns and monkfish, but also hake, cod, haddock, sole, plaice, and cuttlefish.
Their brother Patrick, skipper of Cú na Mara, brings the fresh catch from the harbor to The Fish Box which is located a few hundred meters on Green Street. From there, their mother and chef, Deirdre, prepares the seafood.
Finally, Micheál and Eimear are on hand to give you the best experience when dining at The Fish Box with friends or family.

The restaurant has been recognized in the McKenna Guides food awards, who say "The Fish Box is a revolutionary destination in darling Dingle, and you can’t go home until you have eaten their signature Fish Box, one of the great Irish culinary creations.”
The Fish Box's signature dish includes fresh fish goujons, cajun calamari, and scampi. Served with proper chips (fresh fries) cut from Maharees potatoes. Our mouth is watering just thinking about it!
