Aer Lingus has posted a new YouTube video showing its inaugural direct flight from Dublin to Los Angeles.
Aer Lingus now operates four weekly flights between LAX and Dublin Airport, representing a new and convenient way to travel to Ireland from the west coast.
The launch comes as part of the airline's transatlantic expansion which will also include new routes to Newark, NJ and Hartford, CT from September 2016.
In February, Aer Lingus and Irish members of the Los Angeles film industry came together to celebrate the launch of the nonstop service during a special reception at The City Club of Los Angeles.
This inaugural flight, which occurred on May 4, was piloted by an all-women crew, consisting of Captain Anne Marie Teevan and First Officers Niamh Power and Nicky Hughes.
The two-and-a-half-minute video starts with the plane taking off in Dublin, showing a bird's eye view of a very green Ireland below. Flyover scenes are interspersed with clips of the crew in the cockpit.
