Ireland's oldest hotel has been ranked among the top 10% of global hotels on travel site TripAdvisor.
The Woodenbridge Hotel & Lodge in South Wicklow has also been named a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award Winner 2024.
Dating back to 1608, the hotel is located in the magnificent Vale of Avoca and serves as a charming gateway to County Wicklow.
The family-run hotel offers an ideal location for family holidays, while it also serves as the perfect location for avid golfers due to its close proximity to Woodenbridge Golf Club.
"The hotel itself overlooks the vale of Avoca and the amazing Woodenbridge Golf Club, while Woodenbridge Lodge is adjacent to the main hotel and is surrounded by peaceful gardens on the banks of the Aughrim River," TripAdvisor states.
It is the ninth year in a row that the Woodenbridge Hotel has received a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award.

Julie-Ann Harper told local outlet Wicklow People that the award is a reflection of the exceptional work performed by the hotel's staff.
"It’s a great achievement to have, and if you popped on Tripadvisor and looked for a hotel in Wicklow, we’d be ranked number three, which says a lot when you consider how many fantastic hotels there are in the county, and it’s something we're all very proud of," Harper told Wicklow People.
"What pushed those great reviews is the fantastic team at the hotel, and without their hard work and the inviting atmosphere they create, we wouldn’t be getting them."

Harper said the hotel underwent significant renovations last year, adding that the hotel recently re-opened its seasonal indoor and outdoor Smokehouse BBQ restaurant and bar.
"We re-opened The Smokehouse down in the Lodge building recently, and with the good weather, it has been so busy, and it is really thriving at the moment," Harper told Wicklow People.
"We opened it two years ago, and it’s been a huge help coming into the summertime. We have expanded it now to include an indoor area, while the outdoor area is covered and has heating for when it is a bit chillier."
