Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is enjoying his time in Dublin so far, judging by a new video the British band posted to social media today, Wednesday, August 28.

"So happy to be in Dublin," the band captioned their post that featured a video of Chris in Dún Laoghaire, a coastal area in Dublin.

"Pleasure to meet you, Gerry," the caption added.

Among the many replies to Coldplay's Instagram post on Wednesday was Irish busking sensation Allie Sherlock, who encouraged the band to "pop over" to Grafton Street, where she regularly performs, on Saturday.

Coldplay has touched down in Ireland ahead of their four concerts in Dublin as part of their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour.

The band will play to sell-out crowds at Dublin's Croke Park on Thursday, August 29, Friday, August 30, Sunday, September 1, and Monday, September 2 - the final two Irish shows were added due to "huge demand" for tickets.

Coldplay last performed in Ireland in July 2017 for their "A Head Full of Dreams" tour, which was also staged at Dublin's Croke Park. Tickets for the show sold out within minutes.

During their 2017 Irish show, Coldplay welcomed a surprise guest from the audience, Rob O'Byrne, on stage.

O'Byrne later told CBS News "It was a great view. You see the whole of the Croke Park, just the top of people's heads."

On stage, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin handed O'Byrne a harmonica and the two improvised a duet.

"I just blew the harm when he stopped singing, and then he just looked down and said 'yeah just keep doing that,'" O'Byrne said.
