The Daniel O’Donnell calendar has become something of a phenomenon in the past year.
The singer’s calendars have gone viral after superfan Mary Ellen Hughes revealed which Daniel they’d be getting on the first of the month.
With summer approaching, Mary Ellen and her family revealed that March’s Daniel shed his jacket and quarter zip for an April t-shirt; and while that was enough to gain a reaction from the ladies, their screams became even bigger when Daniel himself walked into the kitchen.
"HE’S HERE, HE’S HERE!!" Mary Ellen captioned her video, with people delighted at the surprise appearance from the man himself — although some joked that they sounded like they saw a ghost when he entered.

"Best reveal yet. I’m crying," one person commented, while another added "They sound terrified when he appears."
Mary Ellen confirmed that she was completely left in the dark at Daniel’s cameo, commenting "I HAD NO IDEA!!!! That’s real life shock there lol," while another commented "That’s a double Daniel reveal for this month!!"
Daniel spoke about the calendars on Ireland AM back in December, toying with the idea of making a 52-week calendar and speaking with Mary via Zoom.
"I think your pitch is getting higher," Daniel told Mary Ellen who admitted she had "a very squeaky voice."
Asked where she got the idea to do monthly reveals, Mary Ellen revealed the family had been doing it "for a long time."
"I just thought it was quite funny because it’s always mummy’s reaction because no matter what she’s jumping up and down and then my girls… it’s a family event now, so it is!
"I thought it would be funny to share on TikTok but never imagined it would reach the heights, Daniel, that you have brought to me."

Daniel’s calendars have also gone international (by way of Ireland) after comedian Rosie O’Donnell, who moved to Ireland earlier this year, was gifted the calendar as a housewarming present.
