It has already been a busy few years for the Bray native as he treated fans to not one but three albums and an EP since 2019. However, before the constant run of albums and lyrical genius galore, the "Take Me to Church" singer took a considerable amount of time away from the limelight, with fans branding it his "hibernation period".
No, as the 34-year-old takes to his socials to tease yet another musical project following the release of his recent album, ‘Unreal Unearth’, only last year, his fans and followers have been making similar comments about his 2019 return to music.
The "Too Sweet" star posted a video to social media with a backing track that nobody had heard before, and to the delight of many, Hozier wrote under the video: "Seemed a shame not to let folks hear this in July. New EP coming soon; much love."
As Hozier appeared across a montage of breathtaking Irish locations, including flower-filled fields and stunning coastlines, fans rushed to the comments with some surprisingly mixed reactions to what many thought would have been amazing news—eagle-eyed fans, however, believed that the new EP was a signal for something else.
"I will devour this EP, I will get FERAL," raved one fan, while another commented: "Oh yeah…this will be on repeat."

Despite hundreds of excited fans and positive comments, a number of the singer’s followers had something else to say!
"ANDREW, YOU CAN’T DO THIS TO ME," begged one, suggesting that this could be the last we see of Hozier for quite some time. Another wrote, "You better not go into hibernation after this."
A third, who compared it to submitting an assignment late in university, added that July was the deadline, and the Wicklow man was getting his last song in before he disappeared for a while!
In 2023 Hozier released his most anticipated album to date, "Unreal Unearth" which features some of the year’s most popular songs, including "Eat Your Young", "All Things End," and "Francesca", with the album spending some time in the number one spot in the Top Rock and Alternative Albums charts.
Speaking to Grammy.com, the album was described as "reflecting on being young, that sort of coming-of-age feeling of just being free and powerless, but having fun and enjoying the little things that you can enjoy, and how every generation will always blame the younger generation for our coming destruction in some way — some very imaginative, funny way."
Hopefully, this isn’t the last we will hear from Hozier for a while, but with the way things are going, we cannot get enough for the amazing music coming from the Bray man in the very near future!
