The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin have released their new song "Ireland You're My Home" on streaming and on YouTube, just in time for St. Patrick's Day.
"Ireland You're My Home" is the new single from The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin's recently released Digital EP.
Written by Choral Scholars alumna and singer-songwriter Megan O’Neill, "Ireland You're My Home" features soloist Amy Barrett, with Kenneth Edge on saxophone, Geraldine O'Doherty on harp, Malachy Robinson on contrabass, and Kevin Whyms on guitar.
The song was expertly arranged for the choir and ensemble by Dr. Desmond Earley, artistic director of the Choral Scholars.
"Ireland You’re My Home" is a beautiful and moving song about only fully appreciating how much home means to you when you are far away from it. It reflects on missing Ireland, the people, culture, scenery, and even the Irish rain. However, this emotional song could resonate with anyone who is away from home in any place in the world.
The Choral Scholars of University College Dublin fully realized the power of the song after a few live performances. It really connected and there were always a few tears in the audience.
"Ireland You’re My Home" is available to stream digitally on most audio streaming platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.
