The biggest names in the Irish screen industry will be in Dublin this weekend for the Irish Film & Television Awards - also known as the 'Irish Oscars' or 'Irish Academy Awards' - on Friday, February 14.
The IFTA Awards Ceremony is set to be a spectacular home gathering of Irish sreen stars and filmmakers, to celebrate the enormous success of Irish creative talent and to recognize achievements both in front and behind the camera.
Irish stars confirmed to be attending the 2025 IFTAs include Oscar winner Cillian Murphy and multiple Oscar nominees Saoirse Ronan and Ruth Negga.

Major Irish film stars set to be on hand are Andrew Scott, Alisha Weir, Chris O'Dowd, and Caitríona Balfe, as well as Kneecap.

Irish television stars set to make an appearance are Nicola Coughlan, Sharon Horgan, and the cast of the FX smash hit "Say Nothing."

Also set to be attending are Liam Cunningham, Eva Birthistle, Victoria Smurfit, Clinton Liberty, Patrick Gibson, Alison Oliver, Deirdre O’Kane, Baz Ashmawy, Clare Dunne, Elaine Cassidy, Roisin Gallagher, and Brían F. O'Byrne.
Other guests in attendance will include Jim Sheridan, Barry Ward, Pat Shortt and his daughter and fellow comedian Faye Shortt, Nora Jane Noone, Hilary Rose, broadcaster Miriam O’Callaghan, Yasmin Seky, and Dónall Ó Héalai.
The Irish Flim & Television Academy award nominations for 2025 were announced in January, with Cillian Murphy's "Small Things Like These" and Kneecap's semi-autobiographical flick "Kneecap" both leading the pack with 17 nominations each.

On the television side, the Troubles drama "Say Nothing" is up for ten nominations while Sharon Horgan's "Bad Sisters" received eight nominations.

Also up for awards on Friday night are Eileen Walsh, Steve Wall, Zara Devlin, Fionnuala Flaherty, Michael Smiley, Chris Walley, Simone Kirby, Peter Coonan, Colin Farrell, Jessie Buckley, Ciarán Hinds, Paul Mescal, Siobhán Cullen, Carolyn Bracken, Jessica Reynolds, Eve Hewson, Michael Fassbender, David Wilmot, and Fiona Shaw, among others.
Meanwhile, veteran Irish actor Colm Meaney will receive the IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award surrounded by his family, friends, and industry peers.

The 2025 IFTA Awards take place on Friday, February 14 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre and will be broadcast on RTE One this Saturday, February 15 at 10:55 pm.
Irish comedian, actor, and presenter Kevin McGahern will be on hosting duties.
Ahead of the ceremony, Irish TikTok star Eric Roberts will be chatting with the biggest stars on the red carpet, with interviews available to watch throughout the evening on IFTA’s Official TikTok Account, starting at 5 pm.
