The wait is over!

The cast of the highly anticipated UK version of "Love Is Blind" has been announced, and good news: there are two Irish contestants hoping to get shot by Cupid's arrows.

The reality show follows a social experiment where singletons set out on a quest for love and get engaged, all before meeting each other in person.

Now that "Love Is Blind" is taking a leap across the pond, we've taken a deep dive into what the series is all about.

Take a look:

How does it work?

Over the course of a few days, the singletons date each other in purpose-built 'pods' and attempt to form a strong emotional bond that will carry them through their marriage.

The newly engaged couples will then move in together as they bury themselves knee-deep in the chaos that is wedding planning- easy breezy! When their wedding day arrives, will external factors push them apart or will they enter a marriage with someone they fell blindly in love with?

Who is hosting?

Emma and Matt Willis will join forces to co-host "Love Is Blind: UK." Broadcaster Emma is well-versed in the reality TV sphere having previously hosted "Big Brother," "Celebrity Big Brother," and its spin-off "Big Brother's Bit on the Side."

Meanwhile, Busted bassist Matt is no stranger to the small screen. He was crowned King of the Jungle on the 2006 series of "I'm A Celeb" and subsequently landed roles in ITV sitcom "Birds of a Feather" and BBC soap "EastEnders."

Real-life sweethearts, Emma and Matt tied the knot in 2008. The couple share three children - two daughters, born in 2009 and 2016, and a son born in 2011.

What have Matt and Emma said about hosting?

When their roles as hosts were confirmed last August, Matt and Emma said they were 'so excited' to be working together on the show.

Matt said: "We love the show! It's been such a dream working together and fascinating to watch the process unfold. Experiencing this new project side by side has been really amazing and I can't wait for people to come on this journey with us."

Emma added: "I love to play matchmaker with my friends and love LOVE, so I am so excited to be co-hosting the first-ever UK version of 'Love Is Blind.' I'm intrigued to see people connect on a purely emotional and mental level right off the bat, without visuals playing a part. Plus – you're getting double Willis!"

Irish contestants

Rejoice! There's not one, but two Irish contestants on the first-ever season of "Love Is Blind: UK." Take that "Love Island"!

Sabrina Egerton is a 35-year-old director of marketing and communications from Belfast. She's been unlucky in love and is hoping to find the man of her dreams.

She thinks the pods will give her an opportunity to get deep with men from the get-go, as she hopes to find someone who has worked through their own issues and wants to grow with her.

Conor Griffin is a 31-year-old health food business owner from Dublin. The cheeky, flirtatious chappy has been single for seven years.

He's struggled to find someone he can truly connect with during his time as a single man. After losing his mum three years ago, he's determined to make her proud, find the girl of his dreams, settle down, and start a family.

Release date

"Love Is Blind: UK" will air on Netflix this coming August - we can't wait! The first four episodes will be released on August 7, followed by another three on August 14.

The finale will air one week later on August 21.
