Martin Short's wife, Nancy Dolman, has died suddenly at the couple's home in Los Angeles.
A representative of the actor-comedian, Short, said "Sadly, we can confirm that Martin Short's wife did pass away…We do not have any other comment to make."
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an emergency call at their Pacific Palisades home on Saturday morning, said Brian Humphrey's, the LAFD spokesperson.
There are no further details about her death except that the LA County Coroner's office said that it was sudden, unexpected or from unnatural causes.
Short and Dolman had been married for 30 years and had three children. Dolman was also a comic actress and a native of Canada, like Short.
Short was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His father Charles Patrick Short came to North America as a stowaway Roman Catholic refugee from Crossmaglen, South Armagh, Northern Ireland, during the Irish War of Independence.
