New York City loves Halloween like Ireland loves St. Patrick’s Day. There are massive costumed gatherings, endless bar crawl masquerades, and even a famous parade in the Village that is televised.
Surely, Halloween is a time of letting-loose, dressing up (and dressing down), while enjoying your friends and some drink, but what does NYC think of the holiday?
I passed on the streets this week to hit up the biggest costume store I could find: Abracadabra.
There I asked customers and employees alike about their disguises, their opinions on couple’s costumes, and of course where the “craic” is at this year.
