Paul Mescal had his rumored girlfriend, American singer Gracie Abrams, at his side at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie "Gladiator II" last night, Monday, November 18.
Co Kildare native Mescal looked sharp as usual at the TCL Chinese Theater on Monday night, while Abrams, daughter of filmmaker JJ Abrams, looked equally fashionable in a gray gown.
According to People, Mescal and Abrams didn't walk the red carpet together, but "appeared very affectionate at the premiere's afterparty, where they posed together for a photo shared to the movie's official TikTok page."
The photo of Mescal and Abrams has led many fans to deem the moment a "hard launch" - as in, when a couple officially 'goes public' with their relationship.

The mega-talented duo has been an item for at least a few months now. Back in June, TMZ shared photos of Mescal and Abrams "on a date" at BRAT Restaurant in London:

They were later seen on a walk in London and, more recently, Mescal was spotted in the VIP section of Taylor Swift's October 22 concert in Miami, Florida ... where Abrams was the opening act.

The so-called 'hard launch' comes at what is sure to be an exceptionally busy time for the couple - Mescal is in the midst of his "Gladiator II" media blitz, while Abrams, who is climbing the US Billboard charts, just landed a Grammy nomination in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for her song "Us" featuring Taylor Swift.
Interestingly, if the two are actually a couple, it won't have been the Irish actor's first time cozying up with an American singer. Mescal was famously engaged for a period to singer Phoebe Bridgers (who, coincidentally, also opened for Taylor Swift a number of times), though their relationship is believed to have ended around December 2022.
