Shane passed away at the age of 65 on November 30, 2023, following a long illness and spent the better part of last year in hospital, leaving the world of music devastated.

The singer had spent a lengthy stint in hospital after he was admitted at Christmas 2022 following a serious infection of viral encephalitis — a swelling on the brain.

In a performance curated by Spider Stacy, the surviving Pogues members will be playing their debut album "Red Roses For Me" at 3Arena Dublin on December, 17, 2024.

With Pogues founding members Jem Finer and James Fearnley taking part, a number of high-profile guests were confirmed for the gig on Monday morning.

Following the release of their fourth album Romance, which debuted at number two in the Irish charts, Grian Chatten and Tom Coll from Fontaines D.C will be taking part.

Also announced was Nadine Shah, John Francis Flynn, Ian and Daragh Lynch from Lankum, Junior Brother, Kojaque, Iona Zajac and Stick In The Wheel.

More guests are to be announced for the show, which arrives on the back of the group performing their debut album to critical acclaim at London’s Hackney Empire back in May.

Tickets for the show are on sale now via Ticketmaster, ranging from between €54.85 and €75.70.
