Russell Crowe has deleted a post where he mistakenly said that Dublin was in the UK and apologized.
It all began when Crowe posted a teaser on X on February 8 simply saying: “Dublin. July 1. Don’t tell your friends.”
Dublin.

July 1.
Don’t tell your friends.
The Oscar winner and musician further teased on February 10 that he would be playing in Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre this summer.
"Monday pints and tunes," he said, hinting that he and his band Indoor Garden Party would be returning to Irish shores for a gig.
This was shared with me. Funny.

Plan ahead lads!
I think it’ll be in this room.
Do you know it?
July 1.
Monday pints and tunes.
See you there. pic.twitter.com/2NsM7C4vyV
However, the “Gladiator” star - who has spent plenty of time in Ireland - hit a serious misstep on February 20 when he included Dublin in a list of the “UK stops” for his tour.
The mistake was quickly rectified when Crowe deleted his post on X and issued a clarification.
"Correction," he posted, "Ireland in July is Dublin.
"UK gigs in the same month."

Further apologizing, Crowe said in a follow-up post: "Ok
"To those who understand…
"Cannot believe I lumped the Emeralds with the coal, haha.
"Forgive a bloke with too many balls in the air?
"We will be there.
"On a Monday night.
"July 1.
"No exorcisms this time, just tunes and pints and stories and I’ll know exactly where I am."
Ok

Crowe's promise of "no exorcisms" was made jokingly in reference to his film "The Pope's Exorcist," which he filmed around Ireland in 2022.
"We shot in Dublin and surrounds," Crowe told RTÉ Entertainment last spring.
"Shot at Trinity College, we shot at Town Hall, we were on the north side for a while.
"We shot in Bray a lot and bits and pieces around there and Marley Park and we went down to Limerick.
"It was a grand summer, there was a lot of sunshine, I did a lot of bike riding. I loved being where I was."
Of course, it wasn't all work and no play in Ireland for Crowe.
In September 2022, he made sure to visit Charlie St. George in Limerick City with his film colleagues.
The pub's manager Tom Dore told the Limerick Leader newspaper afterward: "Russell Crowe and three others just walked in and then a short time later the entourage came along. He bought a couple of rounds. He was extremely generous. It was his tab."
Dore added: "He was happy to stand by the tap for a photo. He was drinking Guinness. He said it was a lovely pint. He was extremely quiet and very nice. One of the regulars got his autograph and he was over the moon."

Crowe first visited the pub many moons ago with his best friend Richard Harris, the late Limerick actor who co-starred with Russell in the 2020 monster hit "Gladiator."
