A wax figure of Sinéad O'Connor has been unveiled at the National Wax Museum in Dublin today, July 25, the day before the first anniversary of the iconic Irish singer's death.
O'Connor, who was found dead in London on July 26 last year, has been honored with the wax figure which was commissioned by museum director Paddy Dunning and crafted by PJ Hegarty for what is his final contribution to the museum.
"This unveiling is particularly special as tomorrow marks the anniversary of Sinéad's passing," the National Wax Museum said on social media on Thursday, sharing photos of the new figure.
"Her impact on music and culture has been profound, and it’s an honor to commemorate her with this stunning figure."

Dunning said the museum was "honored" to pay tribute to O'Connor with the newly installed wax figure.
"I met Sinead 40 years ago when she walked into Temple Lane Studios for the first time when she was 17 and I was 18," Dunning said at a press launch of the new figure on Thursday morning.
"We'd been great friends and close since that first meeting."
The wax figure of O'Connor is instantly recognizable as having been inspired by her look in her smash-hit "Nothing Compares 2 U" music video.
“The idea behind this statue was to show a time where she did a video of the song 'Nothing Compares 2 U,'' in which she was dressed in black," Dunning said, according to The Irish Times.
"She was sad and emotional, and the song was a brilliant perfect pitch.
"The tear shown in the song was real and touched everyone’s heart. So, we went on to portray that song in her statue.
“The reason to choose this song and the tearing moment was to remember the time when Sinead sprang to international fame, especially with that video and that look."
