Irish folk duo Ye Vagabonds teamed up with Grammy-nominated supergroup boygenius for a new cover of "The Parting Glass" in honor of the late Sinéad O'Connor, who famously covered the song in 2002.
The two groups, along with Interscope Records, will donate all net proceeds from the track to the Aisling Project, an after-school project working with children and young people growing up in disadvantaged areas of Dublin.
O'Connor, who was found dead in her London flat on July 26, famously covered "The Parting Glass" in 2002 and is featured on the artwork for the new charity single.
Huge thanks to @kateelliscello, @GarethQR @TheBraveHunters and Caimin Gilmore for recording this with us.

Mícheál Clear, a project leader with the Aisling Project, said in a statement: “We are absolutely thrilled that Boygenius have chosen to give proceeds from the release to Aisling Project.
"It's an absolute privilege to be associated with the stunningly beautiful homage to Sinead O'Connor and we can’t possibly thank boygenius enough."
Meanwhile, Phoebe Bridgers, a soloist and member of the boygenius trio, told Rolling Stone back in August she was "obsessed" with the Irish singer-songwriter.
“Even before I heard Sinéad’s music, I knew she was a revolutionary," Bridgers said, "I was obsessed with her and the ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ video.”
Bridgers added: "Sinéad always believed things that she actually believed, not things she was told to believe by somebody else, even if it was completely subversive.”
