Having seen the list of IrishCentral.com’s Irish hunks over 50 I thought I should put together a similar list to show that the ladies are just a scrumptious when it comes to the post 50 age category. In fact, so much so that you’ll be surprised that some of these ladies even qualify for our list.

Michelle Pfeiffer

Pfeiffer first garnered mainstream attention in 1983 with her appearance in “Scarface” . She rose to prominence during the late 1980s and early 1990s, giving a series of critically-acclaimed performances in the films “Dangerous Liaisons”, “The Fabulous Baker Boys”, “Frankie and Johnny” and The Age of Innocence” as well as appearing as Catwoman in “Batman Returns”.

Pfeiffer appeared on the cover of People's first "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" issue in 1990, and again in 1999, having made the list a record six times during the decade.[3]

Susan Sarandon

Sarandon has worked in films and television, since 1969, and won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in the 1995 film “Dead Man Walking”. She was nominated for the award for four films, before that, and has received other recognition for her work. She is also noted for her social and political activism for a variety of liberal causes.

Holly Hunter


Hunter’s films include “Raising Arizona”, “Broadcast News”, “Always” and “The Piano” for which she won several acting awards, including an Academy Award for Best Actress. She also starred in the cable television series “Saving Grace”.

Jennifer Tilly

Tilly is an Academy Award nominee for her role in Woody Allen’s “Bullets over Broadway” and is also a World Series of Poker Ladies' Event bracelet winner. Since 1988 Tilly has appeared in 45 films and counting including “The Muse”, “Liar Liar”, “The Doors” and “Bound”.

Ann Curry


Curry is a television news journalist and has been the news anchor on NBC's morning television program “Today” since May 1997. She has also hosted “Dateline” since May 2005. Along with Lester Holt, she is the primary substitute for Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News.

Suzanne Sommers


Sommers is an actress, author, singer and businesswoman. She is best known for his role as Chrissy Snow on “Three’s Company” and Carol Lambert on “Step by Step”. She later became the author a book on hormone replacement therapy, two autobiographies, four diet books and a book of poetry called “Touch Me”.

Lynda Carter


Carter is best known for being Miss World USA and for her dual role as Wonder Woman and her alter ego, Diana Prince, on the 1970s television series “The New Adventures of Wonder Woman.”

Ellen DeGeneres

DeGeneres is a stand-up comedian, television host,  actress and now a house-hold name because of her syndicated chat show “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. She’s also a judge on “American Idol” She has won twelve Emmys and numerous other awards for her work and charitable efforts.
