Ireland's Irish language TV station TG4 will broadcast live from the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann from August 8 to 11 at 9.30 pm UTC +1.

A highlight in the cultural calendar of Ireland, the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is an annual Irish music festival that serves as the premier competition for traditional Irish music, attracting musicians from around the world.

Organized by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the event includes performances, competitions, and sessions that celebrate and preserve Ireland's rich musical heritage.

This year you can watch highlights from the week-long celebration in Wexford live on TG4.

"Fleadh24" brings you to the heart of this year’s Fleadh Cheoil with four nights of stunning performances and entertainment broadcast live from four stages in the TG4 TV Village, located at Crescent Quay, in Wexford Town.

Each show will feature musicians, singers and dancers, young and old, who have traveled to Wexford for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann from all over Ireland and from the UK, USA, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Finland, Brazil, and, Dubai.

Live music

On Thursday night, the headline acts will include Michael Flatley, Matt Molloy & John Carty, Sharon Shannon, Lumiere, The Piper’s Cross Céilí Band, Pádraig Jack,  Róisín El Cheriff and the New Ross and District Pipe Band.

Friday night sees the following take to the stage Michael McGoldrick Family Band, Ímar, ALDO, The West Ocean String Quarte, InB, Clonroche Traveller Girls, Jack Warnock, Natalie Haas, Sharon Howley, Late for the Train, and the Devane Brothers

On Saturday night, viewers will be entertained by Jackie Daly & Matt Cranitch, Maurice Lennon Trio, Garadice with Eleanor Shanley, Dan McCabe, BIIRD featuring Lisa Canny, The Raines, Cumas Trad Band, and David Murphy

For the final night on Sunday, TG4 have another great mixture of musicians including live performances from Frankie Gavin & De Dannan, Wallis Bird, Bow Brothers, Niall McCabe, Nomos, Tulua, John, Pip & Tanya Murphy, Robert and James Harvey with Ryan Molloy, Nezlamni Ensemble and many more.

"Fleadh24" - The competitions

TG4 and Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann present live streaming of competitions from various categories on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to finish with the Senior Céilí Band competition on Sunday evening live from the Fleadh Dome. Presented by Fiona Ní Fhlaithearta and Freda Nic Giolla Chatháin live coverage from The Presentation School and the Fleadh Dome. Competitions will be streamed live on tg4.ie and Fleadhcheoil.ie.

Cúla4 - children's programming

At this year's Fleadh, the children’s channel’s Cúla4 team, along with presenter Niamh Ní Chróinín, will be roaming the streets of Wexford with a mobile stage on Friday the 9th & Saturday the 10th of August from midday giving all a chance to showcase their talents, whether it's playing an instrument, singing, dancing, or any other party piece. These clips will be broadcast on Cúla4’s social channels.
