Justin Bieber dreams of performing a duet with U2

Having just finished up his two dates at the O2 Arena in Dublin as part of his My World tour, Justin Bieber has revealed that he would love to do a duet with Irish rockers U2.

Bieber said, "I'm a big U2 fan. I love Bono. I don't even know if he's here, I think he's away. I met him at the Vivo launch before."

Bieber told the “Evening Herald” that he had enjoyed spending time in Dublin. “It's really nice here, this is my first time…All my fans are amazing, it amazes me every city I go to and every new place, they always just amaze me,” he says.

"It's great, making music is something that I love and my fans are really involved in that and really love my music and it's always good to see new fans and be a part of that. I love performing."

The 17-old-year old star is such a practiced performer that he doesn’t even get pre-show jitters. “No, not at all. It's just like walking to me, I do it so much and it's instilled in me,” he explained.

“When you walk, you don't really think about it, so it's like when I perform, it's something I just do.

"It's always amazing and the energy is so great from the fans so I'm just used to it, going out there and doing it. I want to say, thank you to all my Irish fans for all their love. They're awesome."

Bieber flew into Ireland last Sunday and relaxed at the luxury Ritz Carlton hotel in Powerscourt, Co. Wicklow, for three days.

The teenage heartthrob insisted that despite his superstardom he is still “just Justin,” a normal teenager in the eyes of his mom Pattie Mallette. Before he went on stage in Dublin, before 14,000 fans, he had been doing homework for three hours.

"I have a tutor, he travels with me, I did three and a half hours this morning…I hate school. I'm not going to say I like school. I do it because it's important and I tell people that it's really important because school gives you so much knowledge about the world. I don't necessarily like it, but it's something that's necessary."

While Bieber was relaxing, studying and doing some sight-seeing in Wicklow and Dublin his mother sampled Ireland’s pub culture. She was spotted enjoying a steak in the famous Johnny Fox’s on Monday, and also visited Lillie’s Bordello nightclub with some of Bieber’s entourage.

Unfortunately Bieber is too young to tag along. It seems that Mallette keeps Bieber grounded in his everyday life.

The young star said, “"No, I'm not old enough to go in the clubs, I'm not really into that right now. I just like to relax and hang out…Mom gives me advice about everyday stuff but not about the business because she really has no clue about it.

"She's my mom, that doesn't change once you're famous. When I'm being disrespectful, which doesn't happen very often, she definitely puts me in my place. I'm just Justin to her, that's all."
